To say Chet will be missed is an understatement. He was always prepared to put a smile on your face with a joke or five. He not only knew how to enjoy life, he knew how to have fun! His ability and willingness to meet a challenge was uncommon - such a fighter, he wanted to schedule another round of chemo while still sick in the hospital. While going through this he was concerned about his wife and daughter. He set a high standard and example for the rest of us. Rest in peace dear man.

I was fortunate to join the Elk Lodge 2098 and have Chet there. I was Exalted Ruler and his wisdom, sense of humor and knowledge were all a part of me getting through a tough time. Chet and I would go out to do the shopping for the Christmas Baskets. He would be so proud of the bargins we got. Always found time to get "goodies" from Vons for our Veterans visits and Bingo. I don't know if heaven is big enough to fit his heart into it. I sure hope God has a sense of humor because Chet has a million stories to tell. The world is a better place because of him and heaven will be a better place because of him. May he live forever in the hearts of those he helped.
