I knew Sandi as my mother in law for about 10 years and she was curious to find her biological family in the early 2000s when I started on genealogy. It was not until much later when Sandi had Alzheimer’s that I eventually located her biological family based on non identifying information provided by the Lutheran social services she had given me in the early 2000s. Her biological family lived in and around St. Paul ironically within miles just down the street where she resided for years. I wanted to share my finds with her and was able to so thru her daughter Becki, my sister in law. Sandi had always mentioned her parents will always be the Jones, her adopted parents but she had an objective to find the biological parents so she could have closure on finding out about medical diagnoses especially with asthma which was prevalent in her biological family. Sandi was always positive and joyful when I knew her. I will plant many trees and donate my next few in her name in Minnesota. Jeff Schultz.
