Sandra (Sandy) Jean Saltsman passed away comfortably at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, November 17th, 2023.
Sandra was born December 3rd, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, to Stanley William and Mabel Brewer. She was the oldest of two with her younger brother William, who was born in 1938. Sandra graduated from North High School in Akron, Ohio in 1954, with her high school sweetheart William (Bill) Saltsman.
Sandra Brewer married William Joseph Saltsman on October 4th, 1958, in Akron, Ohio. They have been married for 66 years and are the proud parents of Jeffrey (Ellen), Tricia, and Andrew. Their grandchildren include Ryne, Sabrina, Kyle (Jeffrey) and Tanner, Loman, Victoria (Tricia). They are very proud great grandparents to Ashton, Violet, soon to be one more (Victoria), Nolan, Kendall, Hazel (Tanner), and Haunani, Kamalani (Sabrina).
Bill and Sandra moved from Akron, Ohio to Southern California in 1960.
Sandra spent numerous years as an office manager for local doctors in the area. She was very involved in the PTSA for all three of her children, served on the Falcon football booster club and in various roles in the Crescenta Sports Association. Post retirement she spent time with her husband and their yearly trips to Las Vegas and Carlsbad. She was devoted to the Crescenta Valley community as a long-time supporter of Crescenta Valley High School, member of the Crescenta Valley United Methodist Church and served on countless committees during her time.
Sandra was a very passionate fan of her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers!
Sandra made an impact in her La Crescenta community, was a faithful and loving friend, and a passionate woman in all aspects of her life. Above all, she leaves a legacy of loyal and heartfelt love for her family. As a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and mother-in-law, Sandra will be missed more than words can be expressed.
She loved her kids with all her heart and found great enjoyment in sharing in each of their lives. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her passion and spent endless hours with them. She was the pillar of her family and the core strength in all of them.
There will be a private burial on December 13th at the National Cemetery in Riverside, Ca, where she will join her husband (Bill) who passed away in October 2021.
