Jeanmarie MacKelvey passed away on January 12, 2021. A small viewing with prayer was held at Crippen Mortuary on January 15, 2021 at 10:00 am with family. Jeanmarie MacKelvey was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Marshall and Ida MacKelvey on June 22, 1941. She went to high school at Lincoln High School where she excelled in mathematics and she completed a certificate in business skills. She worked as a secretary, key punch operator and an Escrow Officer. She also managed data storage systems with mainframe computers. She enjoyed dancing, social gatherings with friends, and many crafts, including upholstering furniture. She was an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army. Jeanmarie is survived by her four children -- Jennie Snyder (Vanessa Mitchell) of Santa Rosa; Kent Snyder (Marcial de Castro) of Los Angeles, Charles Snyder (Trisha Snyder) of Mission Hills; and Kristopher Snyder (Heather Snyder) of San Diego. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charles II, Catarina, Daisy, and Greg, and her great grandchildren, Sadie and Delilah as well as her brothers, Ralph and William. She is preceded in death by her father, Marshall, mother, Ida, and brother, Marshall, Jr. Memorial donations may be made online to American Stroke Association. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all of the staff of Temple Park Convalescent Hospital for their loving and attentive care. Their devotion to Jeanmarie brought her joy and comfort for which we are sure she will be eternally grateful.
