Whenever I think of Barbara, my heart warms. When our boys (now 38 and 40 years old) were young, we enrolled them in Sunshine Preschool. Barbara was the welcoming face every morning. She exhibited for us what a Christian life could be like, warm, thoughtful, welcoming, non-judgemental, loving. She laid the foundation not only for our sons, but for our young family. Over the years, we stayed in touch. She came to our house for dinner once or twice. We came to her pool to swim many times and planted a few flowers once. When we saw her at the grocery store, she remembered us, asked about our sons and our daughter. Although we cannot attend the service, please know that this family loved Barbara and were changed by her loving spirit passing by our lives.
