Doris and Family ...
The man is a success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who leaves the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had. Jack was all this and more.
Those we
Love don't go away,
They walk beside us
everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always
near . Stilled Loved, still missed
and forever dear.
God's Love and ours...

To the family of John Quinn please accept my sincere condolence. Although death of a loved one can cause bouts of sadness please allow yourselves to be uplifted by the promise of endless life with perfect health surrounded by the people who cherished the life of "Jack". The scripture at 2 Cor. 1:2,3 calls our Father the God of all comfort. May his love surround you at this time. I look forward to the fulfillment of John 5:28, 29 which tells us that a time is coming when those we have lost will hear Jesus' voice and come back to life. Also, Rev. 21:3, 4 when death will be no more. It is my wish that these scriptures provide you with comfort. For more encouraging words please visit jw,org which will also provide ways to cope with grief. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

How very sad we are to learn that Doris's wonderful husband, Jack, has now passed on to a new phase of being. We first met him when he came with Doris and friends, Winnie and Wallis Hime, to our farm in Kenya. He and Doris were so very well matched and his quiet and retiring personality was the perfect foil for Doris's outgoing and ebullient nature. They represented everything that a perfect marriage should be. We were privileged to meet him again in their lovely home in Glendale when we visited the US some years later. Although he had been through a very hard time will illness and eye problems he was nevertheless the most charming and gracious host and we were glad of the opportunity to renew acquaintance with him.
We do offer Doris and her family our most sincere condolences at this time. Jack was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him and by us also who did not know him very well but who were the recipients of his generous hospitality and who would have liked to know him better.

Doris,
What a well written and beautiful obituary. Thank you.
These are hard and difficult times for you and the family. Added to all of this is the grief you will feel for many months. It will be your strength, your family, and all of your friends that will give you the work through these next few months.
We all loved Jack.
