Obituary of Dawn June Skinner-Boerner

Born: December 26 , 1952 Died: May 16, 2015 Dawn Ion Skinner Boerner was born in Belleville, MI on December 26, 1952. She graduated from Clear Creek Secondary School, Idaho Springs, CO in 1971 and attended University of Colorado and received a Bachelor in Chemistry and a Masters in Radiation Physics from Colorado State University. She is survived by three sisters Lynne Laviolette of Las Vegas, NV, Mellodee Phillips of Denver, CO and Holly Slegl Grand Junction, CO, and two brothers Kevin Ion and Wayne Ion, both of Las Vegas, NV, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dawn was Observatory Manager at JPL and recently launched the Orbiting Carbon Observator in July 1, 2014. Her hobbies were traveling to Hawaii and vegetable gardening. She and her husband resided in La Crescenta, CA.
