Euge, you were my roommate in college and afterwards. We studied together, played together, worked together, got into and out of trouble together, supported each other, and much more. You took me deep-sea fishing, and I took you paint-balling. You welcomed first my wife, and then my first son. You became more than a friend. You were family.
Throughout the time I knew you, you were a kind soul. Your sense of humor was endless. You were always there to help those around you that needed a lift or a hand. You even endeavored to be a conscience, when we needed an occasional reminder. When your mother needed you, you went. I would expect no less.
You were a good man. I'm glad that I had the time with you that I did. You did make the world a better place in the all too short a time you had. I hope you are with your mom, now, enjoying the rewards of all you did here.
I miss you, but I'll see you again sometime. You decide, bowling or fishing, first.
-Rocky

We met Eugene 9 years ago and have had the pleasure of knowing him ever since. He was a kind, honest man who would always go the extra mile to help out. Eugene's passion for dealing casino will never be forgotten. He was a big help to a company just starting out and helped shape the future for us. We are forever in his debt and know he is now with his mother in heaven. God Bless you Eugene.

College life was a lot of fun with Eugene around. His antics were often legendary. I am saddened to hear of your passing, far sooner than expected. Rest well and know you will be missed.

I was very saddened by the passing of Eugene. From the time I met him in San Jose, I enjoyed his humor, and our mutual appreciation of sports was always a fun topic. Knowing I won't be seeing my friend anymore breaks my heart. My deepest condolences on his passing.

One of my best memories was watching Knots Landing with Eugene. He was always so nice and such a fun person to be around. He will be missed but is with your Mom now. All of my love to you and your family.

It is sad to hear that someone so young was taken so soon. Eugene was one of my closest cousins in the extended Cantrell family and I truly enjoyed having him live up here in the SF Bay Area for a time. We bowled together (a great bowler), we drank together, and we laughed together. My mom always enjoyed running into him at the Whole Foods market when she shopped.
I remember a story from a long time ago. Not sure why it has stuck in my head. I remember one summer playing ping pong in my parents back yard against Eugene's dad and Eugene would always ask what the score was and he would do some very quick math on the differences. I think Eugene must have been 5 or 6 at the time. I remember thinking that this kid is very sharp with numbers and will be a whiz at his math classes.
Eugene will always be remembered as a fun loving and caring individual. He will be truly missed.

Words can not express the loss that I am feeling now in your passing. I never thought I would be doing this for you so soon after losing Mom. I hope you know how much you were loved by family and friends and will be truly missed. I know you were just here for a short time, but wished we did not have to say goodbye so soon. You will always be my little brother and I will cherish all of our memories from growing up together. I have been looking over the pictures of our lives together since your passing and how the time has gone by so quickly. I know you have enjoyed being an uncle and watching your niece and nephew grow up to be young adults. I know it was not my choice to have you leave me here so soon but I know there was a reason for it that I may never understand. I know you and Mom are watching down on my family and keeping us safe. I know Mom has her loving arms around you and taking care of you. I hope you can rest in peace knowing I will be taken care of by my loving family here

Even though we did not spend a lot of time together, I always remember you as the cooler older cousin that I wanted to hang out with. You were outgoing, approachable, and really had a great sense of humor!
Additionally, Eugene, you were always kind, considerate, and willing to help others in need especially your mother.
Of course, you were needed here, but your mom may have needed your help in heaven.
My thoughts and prayers are with your sister and all of your loved ones during this difficult time.
It is so hard to lose someone so young and in the prime of his life. May the laughter and good times that you shared with your family bring them happy memories of you and peace knowing that you are in a better place.
