It seems like only yesterday (1994) when I was a young inexperienced probationary officer in Devonshire, and I jumped in the car with one of the "coolest" veteran officer I have ever worked with. "Jack" as he was called, showed me a thing or four about being a policeman in the City of Los Angles with the demeanor of a true hero. I'm forever thankful, it was my exposure to you that has formed me into the officer I am today. My condolences to the Lafko family. RIP Sir! and Thank You! Sgt II C. Jeter Pacific Patrol

I only knew of you through Carin and for just for the last few precious months but I know you dedicated your life to service and that you were thought of in the highest regard by all that knew you. Jack, rest in the arms of Jesus. This poem is for you Jack. a Thousand Winds.. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
