Obituary of Mary Theresa Lewandowski

Mary Theresa Lewandowski May 1, 1933 - October 24, 2014 Mary Theresa Lewandowski peacefully passed away at home on October 24, 2014. Born in Boonville, NY, Mary came to California in 1954 after completing nurses training at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. A graduate of Chapman College with a BS degree, she was a registered nurse for over 50 years serving at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, CA as well as many other area hospitals and nursing homes. Mary was married to the late Bud Lewandowski, proprietor of the Majestic Tire Company in Tujunga, CA for 52 years. Mary is survived by her son Joseph (Sandy) Lewandowski, daughter Theresa (Richard) Fredrickson, daughter Elisabeth Gladstein Lewandowski, and son Steven (Cathy Raine) Lewandowski and four grandchildren, Charles and Gordon Fredrickson and Lucas and Alea Gladstein. Her brothers, Michael McKilligan and Charles McKilligan; her sisters, Patricia Scully, Margaret Garet, Susan Rand and Kathleen Bonette; her sister-in-law, Marguerite McKilligan; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation-Rosary will be held on Friday, Nov. 7th, 2014 from 5:30–8:00pm at Crippen Mortuary in La Crescenta. Funeral Mass will be held on Nov. 8th at 12 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Tujunga. Interment immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar, CA.
