Robert Livingston Buckisch
Robert Livingston Buckisch, 91, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2013 in Simi Valley, CA surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Dana Buckisch who passed away in 1996, Robert (Bob) leaves behind a son Charles H. Buckisch and daughter-in-law Cathy Buckisch of Payson AZ, and daughter Pamela L. Perry and son-in-law Robert Perry of Simi Valley, CA. Bob had two grandchildren, Richard G. Buckisch of Burbank and Madelynn C. Perry of Simi Valley.
Bob was born in Baguio, Philippines to Walter G. Buckisch and Laura Storts on March 14, 1922. Bob was preceded in death by his brother William Buckisch.
Bob was active in the US Navy from 1942-1946 and was a Navy Reservist until 1974. Bob attended USC and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1951 and later completed his Master Degree. His years of employment included Holmes & Narver Inc, Litton Corp (Northrop Grumman) and he finished his years of employment with the City of Burbank as a Business License and Code Inspector.
Bob had many hobbies and interests including Porsches and was a member of the CA Sports Car Club. He also had a love for model railroads and was a member of the National Model Railroad Association. Bob loved photography, bowling, coin collecting as well as a love for growing orchids and roses.
Bob was a long time member of Burbank United Methodist Church, Burbank Optimist Club and was a great supporter of the Ronald Reagan Library.
